About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Lecturer II in Information Technology to contribute to our vibrant academic community in Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of IT professionals by delivering high-quality instruction, conducting cutting-edge research, and fostering an engaging learning environment that combines intellectual rigor with strong moral values.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Information Technology and related computing courses.
- Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in line with industry standards and NUC guidelines.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research activities, and academic assignments.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research, publishing findings in peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students to support their holistic development.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committee works, and general administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Must possess a PhD Degree in Information Technology or a closely related computing discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of two (2) years of cognate university teaching or research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly potential, ongoing research, and relevant academic publications.
- Proficiency in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) with strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Current professional registration and valid practising licenses where applicable.
