About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a dynamic and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Vocational & Technical Education as a Lecturer II in Industrial Technical Education. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Industrial Technical Education.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and innovative teaching methodologies aligned with national and international standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, industrial training, and student dissertations.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable local and international journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties, committees, and community service initiatives.
- A First Degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
- Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in Industrial Technical Education or a closely related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have at least three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in practical technical skills and modern educational technologies.
