About the Role

Vision University, a newly established private, faith-based institution located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to join our academic community as a Lecturer II in Industrial Chemistry. Granted our provisional operating licence by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to delivering high academic standards and raising morally sound scholars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Industrial Chemistry to undergraduate students.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in line with NUC guidelines.
  • Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university's research output.
  • Mentor, advise, and supervise students on academic progress, career paths, and undergraduate research projects.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committee assignments, and university community service activities.
  • Assess student performance through examinations, quizzes, and practical evaluations while providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Chemistry or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
  • Alternatively, holders of a Master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution are also eligible to apply.
  • Strong evidence of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively, conduct independent research, and work collaboratively within a faith-based academic environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and digital literacy skills for modern pedagogical delivery.
