Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Health Information Management to undergraduate students.
  • Develop and update course curricula in line with modern healthcare standards and National Universities Commission (NUC) guidelines.
  • Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and field placements.
  • Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and academic events.
  • Mentor students academically and professionally to ensure holistic development and career readiness.
  • Utilize ICT tools effectively for virtual learning, student assessment, and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD in Health Information Management or a relevant allied health field, OR a Master's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of teaching or research experience as an Assistant Lecturer.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 peer-reviewed journal publications, which must include at least 1 publication indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
  • Demonstrated ICT proficiency with competence in digital learning management systems and academic software.
  • Active membership in relevant professional health information management bodies.
  • Mandatory possession of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate.
