About the Role
Telic International Academy is a reputable private early childhood and primary educational institution located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. We are dedicated to providing solid care and learning foundations starting from infancy through elementary levels. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced English (Phonics) Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators and help shape the foundational literacy skills of our young learners.
Key Responsibilities- Teach English language and structured phonics to early childhood and primary students using engaging, age-appropriate methodologies.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and foster a love for reading and effective communication.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment conducive to optimal learning and student development.
- Assess and track student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to participate in school events, meetings, and curriculum development.
- Minimum of a B.Ed, B.Sc, HND with PGDE or equivalent, or an NCE with not less than 5 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Possession of a Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification is an added advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in English phonics.
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Good ICT skills to support modern teaching methods (added advantage).
- Must be hardworking, creative, adaptable, and a strong team player.
