About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our esteemed Department of Management Science as a Lecturer II in Finance. In this role, you will contribute to our rich tradition of academic excellence, impactful research, and student mentorship in Nigeria's dynamic educational landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Finance and related management science courses.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses at various levels.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the modernization of finance courses to meet industry standards.
- Mentor students and provide academic and career counseling.
- A PhD in Finance or a Master's degree in Finance with at least three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience.
- A minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications in recognized journals.
- A First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
