About the Role
Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer II to join the Department of Fashion Design and Clothing Technology within the School of Arts, Design and Printing. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Lecturer II, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students, conducting impactful research, and contributing to curriculum development in Fashion Design and Clothing Technology. Key duties include:
- Delivering engaging lectures and practical training sessions for National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students.
- Supervising student projects, studio works, and industrial attachments.
- Participating in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional events.
- Engaging in scholarly research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Candidates must meet one of the following academic and professional criteria:
- A Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline, alongside three conference or seminar papers and three published journal articles.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, backed by at least three years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, three conference or seminar papers, and three published journal articles.
- A serving Lecturer III possessing a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, with at least three years of satisfactory service, two conference or seminar papers, and two published journal articles.
