About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal university founded in 1970, is looking for a qualified and passionate academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer II in Entrepreneurship within the Department of Management Science. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping innovative minds, fostering practical business skills, and contributing to cutting-rail research in entrepreneurship education in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical workshops for undergraduate and postgraduate students in entrepreneurship and management science.
- Develop and update course curricula in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and modern industry trends.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, internships, and student enterprise initiatives.
- Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance to support their career development.
- Possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with an earned PhD.
- Hold a PhD or a Master Degree in Entrepreneurship, Management, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of active teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications in recognized journals.
