Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer II in English Language to join our esteemed Department of Liberal Studies. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials in English Language to undergraduate students across various National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.
  • Design, update, and evaluate course curricula, syllabi, and teaching materials in line with National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) standards.
  • Supervise student research projects, practical assignments, and academic progress.
  • Conduct credible academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Participate actively in department seminars, academic conferences, and institutional committees.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic performance, professional conduct, and career development.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in English Language or a closely related discipline, along with at least three (3) conference/seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in English Language or a relevant discipline, backed by a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience.
  • For Master's holders, applicants must also provide evidence of at least three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
  • Serving Lecturer III candidates with a Master's degree who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, plus required publications, are also encouraged to apply.
