About the Role
Wellspring University is a prestigious, private tertiary institution operating on Christian ethics and principles, located in Benin City, Edo State. As part of our expanding academic community, we are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified professional to join our Faculty of Social and Management Science as a Lecturer II in Economics.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures and tutorials in Economics in accordance with approved curriculum standards.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and innovative teaching methodologies utilizing modern ICT tools.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and field studies.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings as well as community service initiatives.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to foster both intellectual and moral development.
- Possession of a PhD Degree in Economics or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- At least two (2) years of cognate university teaching or research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly potential, ongoing research, and relevant academic publications.
- Proven proficiency in ICT and modern digital teaching platforms.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills aligned with Christian ethical values.
- Current professional registration and valid practicing licenses where applicable.
