About the Role

Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria, a renowned private conventional institution established in 2005, is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our academic team as a Lecturer II in the Department of Private and Business Law. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Private and Business Law to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Conduct high-quality research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, essays, and academic dissertations.
  • Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university-wide academic committees.
  • Provide academic advising, mentoring, and pastoral care to students to foster both intellectual and moral growth.
  • Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives on behalf of the university.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Private and Business Law or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree and a minimum of four (4) relevant peer-reviewed publications may be considered.
  • Demonstrated evidence of active teaching experience in a tertiary institution is a strong advantage.
  • Strong commitment to upholding the moral and ethical standards of Al-Hikmah University.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and digital literacy skills for modern academic delivery.
