Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Medical Biochemistry to undergraduate students.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
  • Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and laboratory activities.
  • Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and actively contribute to the academic reputation of the department through scholarly publications.
  • Provide academic advising, guidance, and mentorship to students to support their academic and professional growth.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committee works, curriculum reviews, and university-wide academic service events.
  • Maintain active registration and good standing with relevant professional regulatory bodies while adhering to institutional policies.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a recognized MBBS or BDS as a first degree from an accredited institution.
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification appropriate for the rank of Lecturer II.
  • Demonstrated teaching, research, clinical, and scholarly experience commensurate with the academic rank sought.
  • Evidence of credible publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Active registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body along with a valid, current practicing licence.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills with a proven capacity for academic mentorship.
  • All submitted academic qualifications must be fully verifiable and from recognized institutions.
