About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified professional to join our academic team as a Lecturer II within the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students across our modern campuses in Delta State and Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Medical Biochemistry to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and laboratory activities.
- Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and actively contribute to the academic reputation of the department through scholarly publications.
- Provide academic advising, guidance, and mentorship to students to support their academic and professional growth.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committee works, curriculum reviews, and university-wide academic service events.
- Maintain active registration and good standing with relevant professional regulatory bodies while adhering to institutional policies.
- Possession of a recognized MBBS or BDS as a first degree from an accredited institution.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification appropriate for the rank of Lecturer II.
- Demonstrated teaching, research, clinical, and scholarly experience commensurate with the academic rank sought.
- Evidence of credible publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Active registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body along with a valid, current practicing licence.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills with a proven capacity for academic mentorship.
- All submitted academic qualifications must be fully verifiable and from recognized institutions.
