We are currently seeking a dedicated and academically driven professional to join our esteemed faculty as a Lecturer II in the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of medical and health science students through rigorous teaching, innovative research, and active academic service across our campuses.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in Anatomy to undergraduate students in the medical and health sciences programmes.
- Design, update, and implement comprehensive course curricula in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic field activities.
- Provide effective mentorship, academic advising, and career guidance to students.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees, contributing to institutional growth and administrative duties.
- Maintain active professional practice and registration with relevant regulatory bodies.
- Possession of an MBBS or BDS as a first degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification appropriate to the Lecturer II rank.
- Demonstrated teaching, research, clinical, and scholarly experience commensurate with the position.
- Evidence of academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Valid registration with the relevant professional regulatory body alongside a current practising licence.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with a proven capacity for academic mentorship.
