As a Lecturer II within the Faculty of Computing, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge curriculum, mentoring undergraduate students, and contributing to the university's growing research profile in information and cyber security.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Cyber Security and related Computing courses at the undergraduate level.
- Design, update, and evaluate course materials, curricula, and assessment methods in alignment with NUC standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct high-quality, independent, and collaborative research leading to publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic field assignments.
- Provide comprehensive academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings, as well as institutional accreditation exercises.
- Engage in community service and professional development activities that enhance the reputation of the university.
- Hold a PhD Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years of cognate university teaching, professional, or research experience.
- Demonstrate clear evidence of scholarly potential, continuing research interests, and relevant academic publications.
- Show strong proficiency in ICT, digital learning platforms, and modern pedagogical approaches.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising licence with relevant regulatory bodies are required where applicable.
