About the Role

Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer II to join the Department of Computer Technology within the School of Technology. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and tutorials in Computer Technology for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources aligned with industry standards.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in computer science and related technological fields, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise student projects, industrial training, and academic research activities.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, accreditation exercises, and overall academic administration.
  • Contribute to community service and forge linkages with commerce and industry to enhance practical learning.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Computer Technology or a closely related discipline, along with at least three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, supported by three (3) conference papers and three (3) published journal articles.
  • Serving Lecturer III candidates holding a relevant Master's degree with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, two (2) conference papers, and two (2) published journal articles are also eligible to apply.
