About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer II to join the Department of Computer Technology within the School of Technology. We are looking for an academic professional passionate about delivering quality instruction, fostering innovation, and preparing the next generation of tech leaders in a thriving learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and tutorials in Computer Technology for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources aligned with industry standards.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in computer science and related technological fields, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise student projects, industrial training, and academic research activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, accreditation exercises, and overall academic administration.
- Contribute to community service and forge linkages with commerce and industry to enhance practical learning.
- Doctorate degree in Computer Technology or a closely related discipline, along with at least three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, supported by three (3) conference papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Serving Lecturer III candidates holding a relevant Master's degree with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, two (2) conference papers, and two (2) published journal articles are also eligible to apply.
