We are currently recruiting for the position of Lecturer II in Community Health Science within the Faculty of Science and Allied Health Sciences at our campus in Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders by delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, and contributing to curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Community Health Science to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools aligned with NUC standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student fieldwork.
- Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative tasks.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students.
- Engage in community outreach programmes that promote public health and health education.
- Must possess a PhD Degree in Community Health Science or a directly relevant academic discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of two (2) years of cognate university teaching or research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly potential, continuing research, and relevant academic publications.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising licence where applicable in the field of health science.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern e-learning and research delivery.
