About the Role
Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Lecturer II in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics within the College of Medicine. As a Lecturer II, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals through rigorous classroom instruction, cutting-edge research, and dedicated mentorship in a vibrant academic environment located in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and evaluation methods in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, clinical rotations, and student academic progress.
- Conduct high-level academic research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university's research output.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Clinical Pharmacology, Therapeutics, or a closely relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Alternatively, a relevant Master's degree plus at least two (2) peer-reviewed journal publications.
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at a recognized university level.
- Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly publications and contribute to academic advancement.
