About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university renowned for academic excellence, is seeking a qualified and passionate academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer II in Business Education within the Department of Vocational & Technical Education. In this role, you will contribute to our mission of producing skilled educators and professionals equipped to drive economic and educational development in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Business Education.
- Design, update, and evaluate curriculum courses in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and modern educational practices.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student industrial work experience.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committee work.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progression, career choices, and professional development.
- Possession of a PhD, or a Master’s degree coupled with a minimum of three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience.
- Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications.
- A First Degree with not less than a Second-Class Upper Division; or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a completed PhD.
- Demonstrated expertise in Business Education, accounting, office technology, or related vocational fields.
