About the Role
Federal University Lafia, a vibrant and rapidly growing institution established in February 2011, is dedicated to expanding access to quality university education in Nigeria. Located in the heart of Nasarawa State, the university boasts robust academic infrastructure across multiple faculties, offering dynamic undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer II to join our Department of Arts and Social Science Education and contribute to our thriving academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Arts and Social Science Education.
- Develop, update, and review curriculum content to align with national educational standards and global best practices.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed, reputable local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student academic mentorship programs.
- Participate in department, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through well-designed examinations, assignments, and continuous assessments.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Arts and Social Science Education or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree plus at least two (2) peer-reviewed journal publications and a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level will be considered.
