About the Role
Fountain University, established in January 2008 by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is committed to the total development of individuals imbued with high academic, Islamic moral, and ethical values. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate interactive learning sessions in Arabic and Islamic Studies for undergraduate students.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, dissertations, and academic research activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university-wide committees.
- Mentor students academically and morally in alignment with the institutional values of Fountain University.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives as assigned by the department.
- Possession of a PhD in Arabic and Islamic Studies or a related discipline.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of teaching or research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have served as an Assistant Lecturer for at least 2 years.
- Evidence of a minimum of 4 academic publications in recognized journals.
- Demonstrated commitment to Islamic moral values and ethical standards.
