About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal institution founded in 1970, is currently seeking a qualified and motivated academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer II in Applied Chemical Science Laboratory Technology within the Department of Science Laboratory Technology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Applied Chemical Science Laboratory Technology.
- Conduct impactful academic research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, laboratory assignments, and academic research activities.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, curriculum development, and administrative duties.
- Mentor students and provide guidance on academic and career development within the sciences.
- Must possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division alongside a PhD.
- Must hold a PhD or a Master Degree with at least three (3) years of relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic journals.
- Demonstrated expertise in Applied Chemical Science Laboratory Technology and modern laboratory equipment.
