About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Conduct impactful, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate research theses, dissertations, and student projects.
  • Design, evaluate, and continuously update curriculum content in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, contributing to institutional growth and administrative duties.
  • Engage in community service and professional outreach initiatives related to speech and language pathology in Nigeria.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD in Speech and Language Therapy or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • A stellar academic background, including a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
  • Substantial university-level teaching experience, progressive academic standing, and a robust portfolio of scholarly publications.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract research grants and collaborate within multidisciplinary medical and allied health teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and academic leadership skills.
