Key Responsibilities- Provide academic and administrative leadership in the Department of Speech and Language Therapy within the School of Basic Medical Sciences.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, including PhD candidates.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals, and secure research grants.
- Design, evaluate, and update curriculum content in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and global best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, healthcare institutions, and professional bodies to advance speech and language therapy practices.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, community service, and institutional governance.
- Possession of a PhD in Speech and Language Therapy or a closely relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
- Demonstrated substantial years of tertiary-level teaching, academic administration, and curriculum delivery experience.
- A robust portfolio of scholarly publications in high-impact factor academic journals.
- Proven track record of successful postgraduate student supervision and successful grant acquisition.
- Membership in relevant professional speech and language therapy bodies will be an added advantage.
