About the Role
The Federal University Lafia invites applications from qualified and dedicated academics for the position of Lecturer II in the Department of Anaesthesia within our esteemed College of Medicine. Established in 2011, our institution is rapidly expanding and committed to delivering academic excellence, innovative research, and impactful community service in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in Anaesthesia.
- Design, update, and evaluate curriculum content to align with national and global medical education standards.
- Supervise student research projects, clinical rotations, and academic progress.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in anaesthesiology and publish findings in peer-reviewed, reputable academic journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community outreach programs.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Anaesthesia or a closely relevant medical/academic field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant field plus at least two (2) journal publications.
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at a recognized university level.
- Demonstrated potential for academic leadership, scholarly research, and clinical excellence.
