About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a qualified and passionate academic professional to join our Department of Engineering as a Lecturer II in Agricultural Engineering. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Agricultural Engineering courses.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to departmental research grants.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster holistic student success.
- Possession of a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division in Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Alternatively, a First Degree with a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
- Holders of a PhD or a Master Degree with at least three (3) years of relevant teaching experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methodologies and engineering software tools.
