About the Role
Greenland University, Jalingo, the premier private university in Taraba State founded by Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi under the motto 'Knowledge for Self-Reliance,' is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lecturer II in Accounting. We are looking for an academic professional committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community service within our Faculty of Social Sciences and Management.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials in undergraduate Accounting courses.
- Develop and update curriculum materials in line with contemporary accounting standards and industry needs.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic mentorship.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and administrative duties.
- Engage in community development initiatives and professional outreach on behalf of the university.
- PhD in Accounting or a closely related relevant field, OR a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Lecturer.
- Must have at least 5 peer-reviewed journal publications, including a minimum of 1 publication indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrated ICT proficiency with the ability to utilize digital learning management systems.
- Active membership in relevant professional accounting bodies.
- Possession of a mandatory NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
