About the Role
Arrupe Jesuit College (AJC), a respected institution belonging to the Society of Jesus in the Roman Catholic Church, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Male Hostel Parent. In this vital pastoral and administrative role, you will oversee the welfare, discipline, and daily activities of our students outside of regular classroom hours, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing boarding environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the male hostel environment, ensuring student safety, discipline, and well-being before and after school hours.
- Supervise designated study hall sessions, including those during school hours, to foster effective and focused academic habits.
- Act as a positive role model, mentoring students in line with Jesuit educational values and personal integrity.
- Monitor student hygiene, punctuality, and adherence to hostel and school rules.
- Collaborate with school administration and academic staff to support the holistic development of every child.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Education or any related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in a similar pastoral, boarding, or mentoring role.
- Strong understanding of adolescent psychology and youth development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a strong command of the English language.
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suites, including Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and as part of a cohesive team.
