About the Role
Doviana College of Education, an approved private tertiary institution by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) located in Gboko, Benue State, is seeking applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academic professionals for the position of Lecturer II. Our core mission is to produce well-motivated teachers equipped with high personal and professional discipline, integrity, and competence. We are currently hiring across various departments including English and Literary Studies, Political Science, Christian Religious Studies, French, Tiv, Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, Business Education, Primary Education, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, Yoruba, Health Education, and Early Childhood Care Education.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate practical learning sessions for undergraduate students in relevant academic disciplines.
- Develop comprehensive course materials, curriculum outlines, and innovative assessment tools.
- Conduct impactful research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and present papers at academic conferences.
- Provide academic mentoring, career guidance, and counseling support to students.
- Utilize ICT tools and online teaching platforms effectively to enhance the learning experience.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, committee works, and college community service.
- Minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, accompanied by a relevant First Degree.
- Must possess a recognized teaching qualification meeting NCCE regulatory standards.
- Must possess a valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) license.
- Membership in the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) or relevant professional bodies is an advantage.
- Demonstrated evidence of research potential, including postgraduate thesis, ongoing scholarly projects, and journal publications.
- 2 to 3 years of cognate teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
