About the Role
Federal University Lafia, a fast-growing citadel of learning established in February 2011 to expand access to quality tertiary education in Nigeria, is currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join our academic community as a Lecturer I in Veterinary Anatomy. As a member of our esteemed faculty, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of veterinary professionals and contributing to groundbreaking research in animal health and medical sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and seminars in Veterinary Anatomy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects, laboratory practicals, and clinical training activities.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and faculty committees.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Engage in community outreach programs and university service initiatives as assigned by the department.
- Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Anatomy or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution, plus at least 3 years of teaching experience and a minimum of 2 published journal articles.
- Alternatively, a Ph.D. with relevant professional registration and at least 2 published journal articles will be considered.
- Candidates with a Master's degree must possess a minimum of 6 years of university teaching experience and at least 5 journal articles, with at least 3 successfully published.
