We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Lecturer I to join our esteemed Faculty of Computing in Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of software engineers by delivering high-quality instruction, conducting cutting-edge research, and mentoring students within a values-driven academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical lab sessions, and tutorials in Software Engineering and related computing courses at the undergraduate level.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, dissertations, and academic research activities.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the advancement of the department.
- Participate in curriculum development, course evaluation, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Engage in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and community service.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Must possess a PhD in Software Engineering or a closely related computing discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- Provide verifiable evidence of continuing research, relevant academic publications, and competence in student supervision.
- Possess strong ICT proficiency, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
