About the Role
Fountain University, owned by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is seeking a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Sociology as a Lecturer I. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Sociology.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Provide academic counseling, mentoring, and guidance to students to foster moral and ethical development.
- Engage in community service initiatives that align with the university's mission and values.
- Must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Sociology from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have served as a Lecturer II for at least two (2) years.
- Evidence of a strong academic publishing record with a minimum of seven (7) peer-reviewed publications.
