About the Role

Fountain University, owned by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is seeking a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Sociology as a Lecturer I. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Sociology.
  • Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses.
  • Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
  • Provide academic counseling, mentoring, and guidance to students to foster moral and ethical development.
  • Engage in community service initiatives that align with the university's mission and values.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Sociology from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Must have served as a Lecturer II for at least two (2) years.
  • Evidence of a strong academic publishing record with a minimum of seven (7) peer-reviewed publications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and Islamic moral values.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
