About the Role
Greenland University, Jalingo is the first private university established in Taraba State, Nigeria, operating under the inspiring motto "Knowledge for Self-Reliance." We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Lecturer I in Public Health to join the esteemed Faculty of Allied Health Science at our Jalingo campus.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Public Health.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Contribute actively to curriculum development, course design, and academic program evaluations within the Faculty of Allied Health Science.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings, as well as community engagement initiatives.
- Maintain ICT-driven teaching methodologies and utilize modern learning management systems effectively.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Health or a closely related relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of academic experience at an Associate Professor level or equivalent academic standing.
- Proven track record of at least 25 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable outlets, including a minimum of 5 publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrable ICT proficiency and competence in modern digital teaching tools.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies in the field of public health.
- Mandatory possession of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate.
