About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our esteemed faculty as a Lecturer I in Orthopaedics & Traumatology within the School of Medicine. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of medical practitioners by delivering high-quality instruction, conducting groundbreaking research, and participating in clinical training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical clinical training in Orthopaedics & Traumatology to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
  • Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and clinical rotations.
  • Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable local and international academic journals.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Provide clinical services and expert medical care within the university's teaching hospital framework.
  • Mentor students and provide academic guidance to foster professional and personal growth.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD or Master's degree in Orthopaedics & Traumatology or a closely related medical field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of active teaching and research experience at a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Must possess a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
  • Evidence of a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals.
  • Valid medical license and registration with the relevant professional regulatory body in Nigeria.
