About the Role
Vision University, a dynamic, faith-based private institution located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer I in Microbiology to join our esteemed faculty. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and seminars for undergraduate students in Microbiology.
- Develop and update course curricula, syllabi, and teaching materials in line with NUC guidelines and industry standards.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic fieldworks.
- Provide comprehensive academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology or a closely related discipline from a reputable and recognized university.
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed, high-impact academic journals.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a commitment to academic integrity and faith-based values.
- Membership in relevant professional microbiology bodies will be an added advantage.
