About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria, the first Indian university established on the African continent, is seeking a dynamic and qualified Lecturer I in Microbiology to join our esteemed faculty in Masaka, Nasarawa State. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course curricula in alignment with NUC guidelines and industry standards.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic fieldworks.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development committees, and university events.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster their intellectual and professional growth.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Microbiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 5 scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and digital literacy skills for effective classroom management.
