About the Role
Wellspring University is a prestigious private tertiary institution operating on Christian ethics and principles, dedicated to molding intellectually sound and morally upright leaders for national and global development. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer I in Intelligence and Security Studies within our Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at our campus in Benin City, Edo State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Intelligence and Security Studies.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic profile of the university.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committees as assigned.
- Provide academic advising and mentoring to students to foster moral and intellectual growth in alignment with university values.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Intelligence and Security Studies or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of three (3) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuing academic research and relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven competence in effective teaching, student supervision, and ICT proficiency for modern pedagogical delivery.
