We are currently recruiting a Lecturer I in Information Technology for the Faculty of Computing at our campus in Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of IT leaders by delivering exceptional instruction, driving impactful research, and mentoring students within a world-class learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and academically rigorous undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Information Technology and related computing disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-quality, independent research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and the continuous improvement of academic programmes within the Faculty of Computing.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committees, community service, and academic events.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Must possess a PhD in Information Technology or a closely related computing discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuing research and relevant academic publications in reputable journals.
- Proven competence in teaching, student supervision, and curriculum delivery.
- Must possess strong ICT proficiency, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Current professional registration and valid practising licences where applicable.
