The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a dedicated and qualified academic professional to join our esteemed Department of Industrial Engineering. As a Lecturer I, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education, advancing research initiatives, and mentoring the next generation of engineers in a vibrant academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Industrial Engineering.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals, and contribute to academic advancements in the field.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university-wide committee assignments.
- Engage in community service and foster industry partnerships that enhance the practical application of industrial engineering principles.
- Possession of a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
- A PhD or a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- At least three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire students and contribute to departmental growth.
