About the Role
Vision University is a newly established, private, faith-based university located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria. Granted its provisional operating licence by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to delivering academic excellence and moral uprightness. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer I in Industrial Chemistry to shape the minds of future scientists and contribute to our vibrant academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Industrial Chemistry for undergraduate students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in alignment with NUC and LASU standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, laboratory work, and industrial training placements.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and actively participate in academic conferences.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and guidance to students to foster their holistic development.
- Participate in departmental meetings, university committees, and community service initiatives as assigned by the institution.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Chemistry or a closely related field from a reputable, accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the tertiary education level.
- Demonstrated portfolio of scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with a passion for student success.
