About the Role
Wellspring University, a prestigious private institution grounded in Christian ethics, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer I in Histopathology and Cytology to join our Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science in Benin City, Edo State. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical sessions in Histopathology and Cytology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects, laboratory work, and academic activities within the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science.
- Engage in continuous, impactful academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor students academically and morally, aligning with the core Christian values of the institution.
- Maintain active professional registration and collaborate with industry partners to enhance practical learning.
- Must possess a PhD in Histopathology, Cytology, or a closely relevant medical laboratory science discipline.
- A minimum of three (3) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuing research, relevant academic publications, and competence in student supervision.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern pedagogical delivery.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Current professional registration and a valid practicing license with the relevant regulatory body.
