The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university committed to academic excellence and groundbreaking research, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer I to join our esteemed Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In this academic role, you will contribute to the intellectual growth of undergraduate and postgraduate students, conduct high-impact research, and participate in departmental administration.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and industrial training attachments.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish peer-reviewed papers in reputable national and international academic journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster a conducive learning environment.
- Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- Must hold a First Degree in a relevant discipline with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
