About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic, qualified, and dedicated professional to join our academic community as a Lecturer I in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences. The successful candidate will be based at our modern Medical Campus located at Rivers Park Estate, Airport Road, Lugbe District, Abuja, contributing significantly to our mission of producing world-class medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training to undergraduate medical students in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Supervise clinical rotations, student research projects, and provide proactive academic mentorship.
- Conduct impactful, peer-reviewed research and contribute to the academic standing of the department and university.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university-wide academic committees.
- Engage in clinical service delivery and maintain professional standards within affiliated teaching hospitals.
- Perform other academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department or University Management.
- Possession of an MBBS or BDS as a first degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Relevant postgraduate medical qualification appropriate for the Lecturer I rank.
- Demonstrated teaching, research, clinical, and scholarly experience commensurate with the position.
- Evidence of quality publications in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Active registration with the relevant professional regulatory body and possession of a current, valid practising licence.
- Strong capacity for academic instruction, student mentorship, and institutional service.
- All academic and professional qualifications must be fully verifiable.
