About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join our academic team as a Lecturer I in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of medical laboratory scientists through rigorous teaching, mentorship, and cutting-edge research at our Medical Campus in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Develop and update curriculum materials in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) and professional standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic field activities.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish scholarly articles in reputable academic journals.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to support their holistic educational development.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties, committee work, and community service initiatives.
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's and Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized and accredited university.
- Hold a Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related specialization.
- Must possess a current registration and a valid practicing license with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Demonstrate relevant teaching, research, clinical, and academic administrative experience commensurate with the Lecturer I rank.
- Provide verifiable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
