About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Histopathology to undergraduate medical and dental students.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and assessment instruments in line with NUC standards.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, clinical rotations, and provide academic mentorship and career guidance to students.
  • Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings, as well as institutional accreditation exercises.
  • Engage in clinical service delivery and community outreach programs as required by the university and medical campus.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an MBBS or BDS degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • A relevant postgraduate professional qualification appropriate for the Lecturer I rank.
  • Demonstrated teaching, research, clinical, and scholarly experience commensurate with the position.
  • Evidence of strong academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body alongside a valid, up-to-date practising licence.
  • Proven capacity for effective teaching, student mentorship, and academic administrative service.
