The Faculty of Computing invites applications from suitably qualified, dynamic, and passionate academics for the position of Lecturer I in Data Science to contribute to our growing academic community and national development through innovative teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Data Science and related Computing courses.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and academic dissertations.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and attract research grants.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university-wide committees.
- Mentor students and provide academic and career guidance in line with the university's Christian values.
- Collaborate with industry partners and colleagues to drive technological innovation and practical learning.
- Must possess a PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuing research and relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven competence in teaching, curriculum delivery, and student supervision.
- Strong ICT proficiency with excellent communication, interpersonal, and pedagogical skills.
- Current professional registration and valid practising licenses where applicable.
