We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic, and scholarly individual to join our academic community as a Lecturer I in Cyber Security.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in cyber security and related computing courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop, review, and update curriculum materials to reflect current industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory standards in cyber security.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses.
- Provide academic advising, career guidance, and mentorship to students to foster both intellectual and moral development.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, accreditation exercises, and community engagement initiatives.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from a reputable and accredited university.
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Demonstrable evidence of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Strong proficiency in modern cyber security tools, network defense mechanisms, ethical hacking, and cryptography.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with a commitment to upholding institutional values and godly character.
