Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Crop Science.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional modules in alignment with NUC standards.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and field training activities.
  • Conduct high-impact research, publish peer-reviewed papers in reputable academic journals, and actively seek grant funding.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to support their holistic development.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A First Degree in Agriculture or a related field with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division. Candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division must hold a PhD.
  • A PhD or Master degree in Crop Science or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience at the tertiary level.
  • At least three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern agricultural research techniques and digital learning tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
