About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified academic professional to fill the role of Lecturer I in Criminology and Security Studies within our Faculty of Social and Management Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and coursework in Criminology and Security Studies to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic field activities.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee meetings.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance aligned with the institution's core Christian ethics and values.
- Collaborate with colleagues on departmental initiatives, community engagement projects, and institutional growth.
- Must possess a PhD in Criminology and Security Studies or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- At least three (3) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuing academic research, relevant scholarly publications, and competence in student supervision.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern digital teaching and learning management systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills with a passion for academic mentorship.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising license where applicable to the discipline.
