About the Role
Fountain University, owned by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), invites applications from suitably qualified and passionate academics for the position of Lecturer I in Criminology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Criminology and related security studies modules.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and departmental administration.
- Mentor students academically, morally, and professionally to align with the university's core values.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees as assigned by management.
- Must hold a PhD in Criminology, Security Studies, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have served as a Lecturer II for at least 2 years.
- A robust portfolio of at least 7 academic publications in peer-reviewed journals.
