Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Community Health Science.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
  • Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
  • Participate actively in curriculum development, review, and academic quality assurance processes.
  • Provide academic mentorship and career guidance to students.
  • Contribute to departmental administration, committee work, and university-wide academic initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on emerging trends in community health science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research and community outreach programmes.

Qualifications
  • A PhD in Community Health Science is mandatory.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of post-PhD experience in teaching, research, and academic practice.
  • Community Registration with the Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possession of a current practising licence.
  • Evidence of completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or valid Certificate of Exemption/Exclusion, where applicable.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • A strong record of scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching, mentorship, and academic research.
