The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and conducting impactful research within the Department of Community Health Science. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Community Health Science.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Participate actively in curriculum development, review, and academic quality assurance processes.
- Provide academic mentorship and career guidance to students.
- Contribute to departmental administration, committee work, and university-wide academic initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on emerging trends in community health science.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research and community outreach programmes.
- A PhD in Community Health Science is mandatory.
- Minimum of three (3) years of post-PhD experience in teaching, research, and academic practice.
- Community Registration with the Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possession of a current practising licence.
- Evidence of completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or valid Certificate of Exemption/Exclusion, where applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- A strong record of scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
